Mentoring at IDEA4DEFENCE and Young People’s Potential for Innovation

At X Mind Solutions, we took part in the mentoring programme at the IDEA4DEFENCE event organised by Genç MÜSİAD in cooperation with TEI - TUSAŞ Motor Sanayii A.Ş. Listening to young people’s ideas, questions and aspirations for the future made this a valuable opportunity to share knowledge and experience. The online mentoring sessions allowed us to see the participants’ drive to develop solutions and their openness to different ideas firsthand.

What stood out to us was not only the ideas presented, but also the curiosity and energy behind them. The questions they asked, the dreams they shared and their search for solutions revealed a potential that inspires hope for the future. This is where we see the value of mentoring: sharing experience becomes meaningful in an environment where young people can express their thoughts and explore their questions together with others.

Mentoring goes beyond offering ready-made answers; it creates space to look at an idea from different perspectives. Discussing how a problem is defined, questioning assumptions and considering which need a solution addresses are central to this approach. We see our participation in IDEA4DEFENCE as an experience that reaffirmed the importance of sharing knowledge and expertise. Young people’s eagerness to learn makes the mutual value of these interactions even clearer.

Young people’s vision and desire to create are a powerful source of hope for Türkiye’s future development. Recognising this potential means looking not only at ambitious goals, but also at the courage to ask questions and the determination to seek solutions. For us, the inspiring aspect of this experience was witnessing that drive firsthand. We believe that, alongside access to knowledge, opportunities to engage with experience play an important role in the development of young people’s ideas.

At X Mind Solutions, we were delighted to share our knowledge and experience, listen to young people’s ideas and be part of this event. We thank Genç MÜSİAD and TUSAŞ in particular, as well as Cenglab, everyone involved in organising the event and all the participants. What made this experience valuable to us was the dialogue with young people and our shared hope for the future. We value environments that nurture young people’s curiosity and desire to create.
