Google Cloud and Accenture push enterprise AI deployment

On 8 September 2026 Google Cloud and Accenture announced a partnership centred on a joint unit called the Accenture Gemini Enterprise Business Group.

The unit supports enterprises through forward-deployed engineers who work inside customer processes rather than from a distance. Google will train up to 1,000 Accenture engineers for this model.

Those teams will build custom AI applications on Gemini Enterprise, with the stated goal of easing the deployment bottlenecks that keep enterprise AI stuck in pilot mode.

The real driver is operational rather than technical: in many organisations AI stalls at the pilot stage and the move to production drags on because of integration and process alignment. Both companies say they want to reduce that deployment bottleneck.
