EV Charge Show: AI Transformation in the Electric Vehicle Sector

During our visit to EV Charge Show, we at X Mind Solutions had the opportunity to explore hardware in the electric vehicle sector and meet with industry contacts. While the breadth of hardware on display stood out, a key observation for us was the limited visibility of AI applications in the areas we visited. At a time when we are working on AI transformation for organizations, the visit prompted us to reconsider the role of software and data in the electric vehicle ecosystem.

Among the examples we encountered at the show, TOGG’s Can AI software caught our attention as an AI application. However, we do not interpret this observation as meaning that no other AI solutions were present at the show or that the sector does not use this technology. What we saw during our visit only provides insight into the visibility of the applications we encountered. In an environment where hardware takes center stage, where and how the intelligent software layer creates value is a topic that deserves separate consideration.

At X Mind Solutions, we have been working with SMEs on AI transformation for organizations and products for approximately one to two months. As part of this work, we had the opportunity to contact four to five companies focused on electric vehicles, but these discussions did not lead to positive progress. While this experience raises questions about the sector’s approach to transformation, it would not be appropriate to draw a definitive conclusion about the entire electric vehicle ecosystem based on a limited number of conversations.

For us, the central question arising from this experience is not whether the electric vehicle sector is entirely open or closed to AI, but which business and product processes reveal a concrete need for transformation. AI agents, automation workflows, and system integrations are among the tools that can be considered in this assessment. Before proposing a specific solution, however, it is essential to understand the organization’s needs, its existing systems, and the role of data within its processes.

We remain committed to continuing our work on AI transformation in the electric vehicle ecosystem. At X Mind Solutions, our approach is not to sideline hardware, but to explore the value that software, data, and intelligent processes can offer beyond it. Our visit to EV Charge Show and our contact with companies highlighted the importance of explaining this approach through concrete needs. Our priority is to assess technology in relation to organizational needs, rather than treating it as an end in itself.
